The National Collegiate Club Golf Association tournament is coming to Heritage Isles on April 8th and 9th. The two day tourney will feature 50-60 players from 5-6 colleges. The NCCGA runs competitive, weekend college golf tournaments for non-varsity players during the spring and fall. Heritage is thrilled to host the spring series this April. Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club members are welcome to attend and watch the action.
NCCGA divides the country into 29 regions. Each region consists of 3 – 15 college teams. Regional Coordinators administrate and schedule the local tournaments. Each team consists of 5 – 8 players and any college can have up to 4 teams. The upcoming weekend competition is South Florida’s 2nd regional tournament and tees off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday the 8th. The tourney starts earlier on Sunday the 9th at 8:30 a.m.
The NCCGA is the governing body for collegiate club golf. They’ve made it their mission to support all college-aged golfers and do whatever it takes to help keep students in the game. They know there’s more to college than just golf and that only a very small percentage of high school golfers go on to play at the varsity collegiate level. Given their balanced support of the game and young players alike, Heritage Isles is thrilled to be a course destination for April’s South Florida competition. We hope to see you there.
